Independent review to guarantee safety of frontline health workers in Queensland

The Queensland Government is currently undertaking a comprehensive examination into the safety and welfare of frontline health workers.

The State Government says the review will be led by highly respected Sex Discrimination Commissioner, Elizabeth Broderick AO, and will give top priority to the wellbeing of frontline workers in Queensland Health.

Additionally, the review will examine the suitability of the policies and programs, and their implementation in Queensland hospitals and health services.

Minister for Health, Mental Health and Ambulance Services and Minister for Women Shannon Fentiman said, “The review serves as a testament to our steadfast dedication to making sure our workplaces are not only physically secure, but also fosters the mental and emotional wellbeing of our valued workforce.”
