Grim toll mounting in 2023

Safe Work Australia has released the latest work-related fatality figures for 2023. Transport, postal & warehousing remains the most dangerous industry in Australia with 24 occupational deaths.

The Construction industry ranks second with 13 fatalities, Agriculture, forestry & fishing, with 8 fatalities comes third, while Mining with 7 fatalities is ranked fourth.

The figures show a total of 69 Australian workers have died on the job this year.
