Gold Coast man seriously injured in workplace incident

A man is in a serious condition in hospital after a workplace incident in Stapylton.

The incident happened on Monday morning.

The man in his 50s suffered a leg injury as a result of the incident.

He was rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.

SafeWork Australia figures show as of 3 February 2022, 12 Australian workers have been killed at work this year.
