Gold Coast man in hospital with critical injuries after workplace incident

A worker has been transported to the hospital with critical injuries after a serious incident occurred at a construction site on the Gold Coast Wednesday morning.

Emergency responders swiftly arrived at the scene in Biggera Waters at about 11:30am after receiving reports of a worker sustaining serious injuries.

Upon reaching the scene, they encountered a man in his forties who was afflicted with several injuries.

Paramedics attended to him at the scene prior to being taken to Gold Coast University Hospital.

Investigations into the circumstances of the incident are still underway.
