Gas tank explosion injures Queensland man

A man suffered serious burn injuries after the gas tank he was cutting with an angle grinder exploded on Wednesday afternoon.

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was called to a private property in the Gladstone region at around 3 pm after the incident.

The man in his 60s sustained burns to his legs and arms as a result of the explosion.

He was flown to Bundaberg Hospital to be treated for his injuries.
