Farmer hospitalised after being crushed by gate

A central Queensland farmer was flown to hospital by the LifeFlight SGAS helicopter after being crushed by a gate on Wednesday morning.

According to reports, the man in his thirties was working with cattle when a bull forcefully kicked the gate, hitting him in the torso.

The rescue chopper was called to the incident in the Shire of Banana at about 9.30am.

After receiving treatment at the scene, the man was transported to Roma Hospital with chest injuries.
