Employee fatally injured in incident at New Zealand waste transfer facility

A worker has succumbed to injuries sustained in an incident at a waste transfer site in Southland.

Police responded to the incident at about 3:30pm on Friday.

The worker lost their life at the scene, and the incident has been reported to WorkSafe and the Coroner.
