Eleven Australian workers fatally injured in workplace incidents so far this year
New data released by Safe Work Australia indicates that 11 Australian workers have lost their lives at work this year.
The transport, postal, and warehousing sector has commenced the year on a tragic note, having recorded five fatalities to date.
The figures reveal there have been two fatalities in the construction industry, whereas the agriculture, forestry, and fishing sectors, along with accommodation and food services, have each seen one fatality.
There are two recorded deaths classified as unknown.
