Elderly woman flown to hospital after falling from horse
An elderly woman has been flown to hospital after being thrown from a horse in South East Queensland.
The LifeFlight rescue helicopter was deployed to the Somerset region at about 11am on Wednesday morning in response to a fall involving a woman in her 80s while she was riding.
The LifeFlight aeromedical team collaborated with paramedics from the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) to ensure the patient was stabilised prior to her airlift to Toowoomba Hospital, where she was received in a stable condition.
