Elderly man in critical condition after Gold Coast lawn mower incident

A man is in a serious condition in a hospital following a severe incident with a lawn mower.

Queensland Ambulance Services responded to reports of a man sustaining severe injuries while operating a mower at a property in Currumbin Valley on the Gold Coast just before 2:30pm on Friday.

The elderly man fell around 4 metres down an embankment on a property, sustaining serious head injuries that could be life-threatening.

He was admitted to the Gold Coast University Hospital with critical injuries.
