Death on the job: Safe Work Australia updates 2023 figures

Safe Work Australia has released the latest work-related fatality figures for 2023.

So far this year, 50 Australian workers have been fatally injured at work. Transport, postal & warehousing industry leads with 22 fatal incidents.

Agriculture, forestry & fishing and Mining have 5 fatalities each, while Arts & recreation services, Construction and Manufacturing have each reported 4 fatalities.
