Deadline looms for NSW mine operators to submit annual WHS reports

The NSW Resources Regulator reminds mine operators to submit their annual work health and safety reports for the 2021-22 financial year before the end of this month.

Under clause 130 of the WHS (Mines and Petroleum Sites) Regulation 2014, certain mine operators are required to submit a work health and safety report for each financial year to the Resources Regulator.

The Resources Regulator said “work health and safety reports contain information on injuries and illness, as well as other information, such as the total number of hours worked at the mine.”

The Regulator uses the information contained in these reports to prepare key statistical data on work-related injuries and fatalities in the mining industry.
