Darwin business fined for multiple Covid-19 rule breaches

A Darwin business has been shut down for multiple failures to comply with the Chief Health Officer (CHO) directions.

NT police attended the Coconut Grove premises following reports that workers were not wearing masks.

Police said the business owner and two workers, who were on duty when the officers attended, are not vaccinated.

Incident Controller Virginia Read said the business has not submitted a COVID Safety Plan and does not have a vaccination register.

The owner of the business and two staff were issued infringements for breaching CHO Direction 2 lockout directions, and CHO Direction 55 mandatory vaccination of workers to attend the workplace.
