Construction falls prompt WorkSafe Victoria warning
Following a tragic surge in construction falls, WorkSafe Victoria urges employers in the industry to review their fall prevention measures.
According to the safety watchdog, a recent series of serious incidents resulted in the death of a worker and multiple injuries
WorkSafe says it is currently conducting an investigation into the death of a 56-year-old man who fell while pouring concrete at a residential construction site in Doncaster East on 26th March.
Victoria’s workplace health and safety regulator said it has responded to four serious fall incidents in the past nine days and a total of six in the preceding three weeks.
