Comments sought on proposed workplace exposure standard for diesel particulate matter

Safe Work Australia is seeking public comments on a proposed workplace exposure standard for diesel particulate matter.

Exposure to diesel fumes increases the risk of lung cancer.

Safe Work Australia said, “The purpose of this consultation is to gather feedback and evidence to assist Safe Work Australia Members in their consideration of whether to recommend to WHS ministers that a WES for DPM is introduced in the model WHS Regulations.”

The deadline for comments is Sunday 4 June 2023.
