Chemical spill at Auckland lab burns worker

An Auckland worker suffered burns in a chemical spill on Thursday morning.

Police said they received reports of a chemical spill at Mt Wellington just before 8.30 am.

The man was treated by ambulance paramedics before being rushed to Middlemore Hospital in a serious condition.

WorkSafe has been notified.
