Cattle musterer flown to hospital following helicopter crash in Queensland

A mustering pilot has been transported to hospital after his chopper crashed in North West Queensland on Saturday morning.

The LifeFlight helicopter was called to Mt Isa at about 10.15am.

The man, in his twenties, managed to extricate himself from the wreckage and requested assistance using a hand-held radio.

Queensland ambulance paramedics provided treatment to the patient for back and spinal injuries, after which the patient was transported to Mt Isa Hospital for further treatment.
