Brisbane traffic controller sustains critical injuries after being struck by car

A traffic controller is battling for his life in a hospital after being struck by a car while on duty in Brisbane.

The 69-year-old man was working at a council worksite in Kelvin Grove shortly after 1:30am on Friday when the incident occurred.

He was transported to Royal Brisbane Hospital in a critical condition, suffering from multiple injuries.

Workplace Health and Safety Queensland will investigate the incident.
