The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) is issuing a reminder to stakeholders within the heavy vehicle sector that the application deadline for Round 10 of the Heavy Vehicle Safety Initiative (HVSI) is nearing.

The NHVR says the Heavy Vehicle Safety Initiative (HVSI) is an innovative grants program that supports projects initiated by the industry, focusing on delivering concrete improvements in heavy vehicle safety and lowering the risk of road trauma in Australia.

A commitment of $4.2 million in grants has been made by the Australian Government for Round 10 of the program, encouraging businesses or associations within the heavy vehicle industry that seek to resolve a safety gap or issue to apply.

The deadline for submissions will be 5pm AEST on 17 February 2025.
