2026 Queensland Farm safety calendar contest begins
The Queensland Government has unveiled the new 2026 farm safety calendar competition to increase awareness of possible safety risks on farms and in rural areas.
The competition that integrates artistic creativity with significant safety messages is now accessible to all primary school children in Queensland, ranging from Prep to Year 6.
Deputy Premier, Minister for State Development, Infrastructure and Planning and Minister for Industrial Relations Jarrod Bleijie said the competition focuses on inspiring creative youth to advocate for the importance of farm safety.
“Raising awareness among primary school students and their communities about common safety hazards on farms and in rural settings is an ongoing campaign,” he said.
“We know many rural communities and schools have the calendar prominently displayed in the home throughout the year, educating Queenslanders of all ages to work and play safely on farm properties.”
The competition will be accepting entries until June 27. The twelve successful entrants will be granted a $250 gift card and $500 for their respective schools.
