168 Australian workers died on the job in 2024: Safe Work Australia

A total of 168 Australian workers were killed at work in 2024, according to Safe Work Australia.

The highest number of fatalities was observed in the transport, postal, and warehousing industry, which accounted for 54 deaths, with the agriculture, forestry, and fishing sectors trailing behind at 38 fatalities.

The construction sector ranks third, having recorded 30 fatalities.
