133 Australian workers killed at work this year

Safe Work Australia has recently published data revealing that 133 Australian workers have died in workplace incidents this year. The transport, postal and warehousing industries lead with 41 fatalities.

Following closely is the agriculture, forestry, and fishing sector, which has seen 31 work-related deaths. The Construction industry completes the top three with a total of 24 fatalities.

The figures show the mining industry has witnessed 11 work-related fatalities, Manufacturing 6 fatalities and Public administration and safety 6 fatalities.
