Queensland farmer trapped in mud for two days dies in hospital

A Queensland farmer who was rescued after being trapped in mud for two days has died in hospital.

The 95-year-old man fell from his tractor while working near a dam south of Gympie on November 6.

Paramedics found the man stuck in mud after two days.

He was taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in critical condition, but police confirmed the man died on November 12.

Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
